My Week #5

I started 'My Week' over 4 weeks ago now as a weekly diary recording what happens in our daily lives, I can't believe how fast the last 4 weeks have gone! It will be great to look back and see what we're up to a few years from now.

I'm currently sitting here trying to remember what we were doing last Monday and just can't remember for the life of me! So I'm guessing we didn't do anything memorable! I think we went to B&Q and bought some plants for the garden that I've still yet to plant. I plan on doing that this week with Issy as she loves spending time in the garden - weather dependant of course!

On Tuesday I had some friends and family round for lunch, we had vegetable soup with a BLT tiger bread sandwich. It wasn't a very nice day but the rain held off for a bit and Isabelle and Finnley got to play on the trampoline, which they loved so much! They were both so excited jumping and running round! That afternoon I made split red lentil, chickpea and chilli soup as we are trying to eat healthy and I had seen the recipe on Pinterest and thought it sounded delicious, find the recipe here.
On Wednesday I went to Ikea with my mum to purchase a full length mirror for Issy's bedroom and to get toy storage for her playroom. However, we couldn't fit it all in the car so only ended up buying I toy storage unit. Over the last few months we have been decorating the conservatory (Issy's playroom) I will be doing a before and after post on this soon!

Issy spent Thursday morning in playgroup then spent the afternoon at home and as it was a sunny day we had lunch on the trampoline.
On Friday we spent the day at home waiting for Issy's mattress to be delivered and doing boring household chores such as ironing but it does feel good to get it all out of the way! I really need to try and do a bit everyday instead of letting it build up!  Friday was the first night Issy slept in her new 'big girl's' bedroom, she was a little upset at first and wanted to sleep in her old room but we soon calmed her down by reading her a few books. She usually makes her way up to our room and climbs in to our bed between 1&2am but we have decided to stop this before our 2nd little girl arrives. That night Issy went to bed at 7pm and woke up about midnight, I then put her back to bed and sang her a few songs (at her request) then we didn't here from her until 6am! Our new rule is she's allowed in our room anytime after 6am.
On Saturday my friend Lisa was going shopping to Manchester so I decided to join her to look for an outfit for Chester races. We had a lovely afternoon and went for a late lunch at Australasia accompanied by a few cocktails, well just the one for me! Mr W took Isabelle shopping to Chester and treated her to a few things from the Disney store - her face always lights up when we go there! Then he met family in The White Horse for lunch, we love going there on sunny days as it has a great children's play area that Isabelle loves! Tonight was Issy's 2nd night in her new room she went to bed at 7pm and slept straight through until 6am.

On Sunday Mr W went to the Liverpool game and Issy and I went shopping to Chester with my sister-in-laws and had lunch down by the river at Hickory's Smokehouse.
...and that was our week! xXx
