Isabelle's Room - Before and After

I'm so glad to finally share before and after pictures of Issy's new room. A couple of months ago I created a mood board of idea's for Isabelle's new bedroom, you can see the post here if you missed it.

Although, there are still a few more things I want to buy before I can say it's completely finished, Isabelle has now moved in to her new room and she loves it!

Here is Issy's room before...
I wanted to create different zones in her room; A place for sleep, reading, dressing up, drawing (the dressing table will double up as a desk), playing and getting ready for the day. Some of these are still work in progress!

Let me show you around...

I thought I would start with the walls, I knew from the start that I wanted a very pale pink but it took many samples to find the right colour and eventually we decided on Dulux Sorbet - as the name suggests, a strawberry ice cream infused pink.

Her bedding is what drove the fairy theme for her room, after seeing the Amy Fairy Bed Set in Next I fell in love! I also bought the co-ordinating curtains which have the fairy detail and most importantly have a blackout lining.
Continuing with the fairy theme I also bought the matching white canopy which has 3d metallic silver stars on it, a bedside lamp, a set of 2 ballerina canvases and a set of 3d fairy wall art which have expanding pom pom skirts that look really cute!
Now I haven't bought everything from Next ha...

Trying to continue with the whimsical feel of the bedding we bought the chandelier from Dunelm, which I have just seen is now on sale (how annoying!).
As the wall below is so big I have put up some bunting to fill the space and plan to create a book corner near the window.
After shopping around for bedroom furniture we chose the Hemnes range from Ikea, we decided not to buy Issy a toddler bed and went straight to a full sized single bed so it would last longer. We were worried about her falling out and was going to buy bed guards but so far she has been ok, instead I have put a flat sheet under her duvet cover to took her in.

To make the bedside table and chest of drawers look more girly I bought some pink diamond knobs off Amazon and personally think they look great! The nest of suitcases in the background are from Homesense, I love this shop as they have unique items at great prices!
And that's Issy's room so far!

Over the next coming months I also plan too...
1) Add a book corner
2) Buy a white dressing table with chair or stool
3) Add shelves to display decorative items
4) Add a photo board
5) Hang a full length mirror on the wall
6) Add hooks at her height so she can hang up coats, bags etc
7) Underbed storage
8) Wardrobe organiser
9) Buy a roller blind

What do you think? I hoping that it will last Issy a good few years and can't wait to add the finishing touches. Will keep you updated as I add new things.

Now to make a start on the nursery (post coming soon!)
