The Bump: 17-19 weeks

I have now reached 19 weeks (nearly at the halfway mark!) and over the last couple of weeks I have started to feel the baby kick and he or she is moving a lot, more than Isabelle did. It's the best feeling in the world!

Lately, I have been experiencing a sore nose, this is one pregnancy symptom I never experienced with Issy. I have done a bit of research and believe it or not, it's pretty common and tends to worsen later in pregnancy. Higher levels of estrogen during pregnancy contribute to the swelling of mucous membranes and increased blood levels can cause swelling in tiny blood vessels in the lining of the nose.

The baby is now the size of a Turnip, weighs about 5 ounces and is around 5 inches long.

Next week we have our 20 week scan, I can't wait to find out if were having pink or blue!
