The Bump: 40 Weeks, 3 days...still...pregnant!

So the due date we had circled on the calendar has been and gone and guess what...we're STILL PREGNANT! It's frustrating but I guess she's too comfy and will come when she's ready!

This past week I've noticed she hasn't been moving so much and at 41 weeks and 1 day I contacted the midwife and went for a non-stress test. This is where they attach two belts around your stomach to monitor the baby's heart rate, I had to press a button when the baby moved so that the heart rate could be seen in relation to the movement. It was just typical that as soon as I got hooked up to the machine she livened up and was very active! I was monitored for an hour before they were happy for me to go home.

The best moment of my week has been watching Isabelle kiss and give my belly hugs. She can't wait to meet her little sister.

This past weekend was POSSIBLY our last weekend as a family of three! We took Isabelle to Liverpool on Saturday to look for school shoes (I can't believe she will be starting nursery in a couple of weeks!) and we went out for lunch with family on Sunday. We have now done everything on our 'to do list', the car seat is in the car, bags are packed and the house has been cleaned from top to bottom.

Last night I had mild contractions (similar to period like pain) for nearly 3 hours followed by a 'bloody show'. They were lasting about 60 seconds and were 10 minutes apart then they suddenly stopped and I fell back asleep! I had my appointment with the midwife today at 12:30pm for a 'sweep' and she said I was 2/3 cm's dilated and was in early labour, the baby's head is 3/5th's engaged. After, the sweep I started to have some more mild contractions but with no pattern, maybe tonight will be the night?!! I will try and keep you posted via instagram.

Come on little girl, were ready when you are!!
